Skopje- Republic of Macedonia (FYROM)

Two years ago I was traveling from Amsterdam to Tehran via Istanbul and at the airport I had 10 hours transit!

I must say I never care about long transits and not sleeping if I have good company, and so I found that. A brother and sister living in Washington and originally from Macedonia, traveling and one of her good friends was an Iranian girl back in USA, so we made friendsΒ and she was smart and we got to talk till they needed to depart to Skopje!

We invited eachother to four different countries: Iran, USA, Republic of Macedonia and The Netherlands! So to keep it more real we added eachother on facebook and well it went amazing only cuz my name and her name both were really easy names to find! Aleks and Yas!

Two years after that we could manage to do it πŸ™‚ I traveled to Skopje and she was there and she kindly invited me to her family and friends.

Religious people but not all practicing. Her mom got us to the church she got married at and we turned on two candles: one for a person who passed away and one for a wish to come true
